Turin — 2 nights

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get some historical perspective at Castello di Issogne and Basilica di Sant'Andrea. Explore hidden gems such as Castello di Verres and Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Chiesa di San Cristoforo (in Vercelli), Pont-Saint-Martin (in Pont-Saint-Martin) and Cattedrale di Sant'Evasio (Duomo di Casale Monferrato) (in Casale Monferrato). Next up on the itinerary: pause for some serene contemplation at Abbazia di Santa Maria di Staffarda, step into the grandiose world of Castello di Aglie, and examine the collection at Il Bucintoro dei Savoia.

If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In July in Turin, expect temperatures between 30°C during the day and 21°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 8th (Wed) early enough to travel back home.
