Turin — 2 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Change things up with a short trip to Reggia Di Reale in Venaria Reale (about 32 minutes away). And it doesn't end there: stroll around Parco del Valentino, see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Superga, and don't miss a visit to Piazza San Carlo.

If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 24°C in September, and nighttime lows around 17°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 16th (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
