Turin — 2 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Explore Turin's surroundings by going to Castello di Grinzane Cavour (in Grinzane Cavour), Centro Storico (in Alba) and Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso (in Aosta). There's much more to do: see where the action happens at Juventus Stadium, see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Superga, and don't miss a visit to Piazza San Carlo.

To see more things to do, other places to visit, and tourist information, read Turin trip planner.

If you are flying in from Malta, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. October in Turin sees daily highs of 17°C and lows of 12°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 9th (Mon) to allow enough time to travel back home.
