Turin — 2 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Go for a jaunt from Turin to Milan to see Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II about 1h 30 min away. There's still lots to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Superga, test your team's savvy at popular escape rooms, see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, and don't miss a visit to Piazza San Carlo.

To see photos, where to stay, other places to visit, and tourist information, you can read our Turin day trip planning tool.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In August, plan for daily highs up to 76°F, and evening lows to 64°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 24th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
