Crossroads of Europe

Strasbourg is famous for its beautiful historical center, the Grande Île, which was the first city center classified entirely as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Strasbourg is one of the nine largest cities in France with nearly half a million inhabitants in the metropolitan area crossing the river to the German city of Kehl, on the eastern bank of the Rhine River.
Escape the urban bustle at Reserve Naturelle Frankenthal-Missheimle and Route des Vins d'Alsace. Do some cultural sightseeing at Cathedrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg and Little Venice. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Strasbourg: Champ de Roches (in Granges-Sur-Vologne), Orschwiller (Domaine Allimant-Laugner & Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg) and Domaine Koeberle-Kreyer (in Rodern). There's still lots to do: visit La Petite France, examine the collection at Palais de Rohan, get outside with Route des Cretes, and learn about winemaking at Vin d'Alsace HORCHER.
