Turin — 21 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Appreciate the collections at Museo Egizio and Museo Nazionale del Cinema. Get some cultural insight at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile and Civic Museum of Ancient Art (Palazzo Madama). You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: The Roman Aqueduct-Bridge of Pont d'Ael APERTO SINO AL 1 NOVEMBRE (in Aymavilles), Lillaz Waterfalls (in Cogne) and Castello di Fenis (in Fenis). There's much more to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Superga, let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Colle del Nivolet, and admire the verdant scenery at Langhe landscapes.

For reviews, photos, more things to do, and other tourist information, go to the Turin driving holiday planner.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In June, daytime highs in Turin are 73°F, while nighttime lows are 60°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 26th (Wed) early enough to travel back home.
