Strasbourg is famous for its beautiful historical center, the Grande Île, which was the first city center classified entirely as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Strasbourg is one of the nine largest cities in France with nearly half a million inhabitants in the metropolitan area crossing the river to the German city of Kehl, on the eastern bank of the Rhine River.
On the 24th (Sat), contemplate the long history of Vieille ville d'Eguisheim, appreciate the extensive heritage of Vieille Ville de Turckheim, make a trip to Dolder Tower, then look for gifts at Feerie de Noel, and finally make a trip to Vieille Ville. In north-central Switzerland, Lucerne represents a small city boasting a well-preserved old town.
Step off the beaten path and head to Basel's Old Town and Oeschinen Lake. Get out of town with these interesting Lucerne side-trips: Kloster Einsiedeln (in Einsiedeln) and Basel (Offene Kirche Elisabethen, Naturhistorisches Museum Basel, &more). La Condamine is the central Ward in the Principality of Monaco. On the 31st (Sat), see the interesting displays at Le Nouveau Musee National, take in nature's colorful creations at Jardin Exotique de Monaco, pause for some photo ops at Juan Manuel Fangio Memorial, then pause for some serene contemplation at Saint Charles Church, and finally appreciate the history behind Hector Berlioz Statue.
