Turin — 1 night

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Kick off your visit on the 20th (Tue): stop by Quadrilatero Romano, then soak in style at Turkish baths, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini, and finally hike along Colline di Torino. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 21st (Wed): admire the striking features of Palazzo della Luce, take a stroll through Via Roma, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilica di Maria Ausiliatrice, then look for all kinds of wild species at Parco Pubblico Pellerina, and finally pause for some serene contemplation at Chiesa di San Michele Arcangelo.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In August, daily temperatures in Turin can reach 76°F, while at night they dip to 64°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Wed) to allow enough time to travel back home.
