Turin — 18 nights

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get outdoors at Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso and Cascate del Rutor. Castello di Issogne and Sacro Monte will appeal to history buffs. Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: Castello Sarriod de La Tour (in St. Pierre), Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis (in Vicoforte) and Cave Bossea (in Frabosa Soprana). Spend the 18th (Mon) exploring nature at Parco Regionale del Mont Avic. There's much more to do: take a stroll through Via Roma, admire the masterpieces at Museo Egizio, see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, and learn about all things military at Museo Forte Bramafam.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In June, plan for daily highs up to 73°F, and evening lows to 60°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 21st (Thu) early enough to travel back home.
