Turin — 18 nights

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get outdoors at Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso and Cascate del Rutor. Castello e Parco di Masino and Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini will appeal to history buffs. Change things up with these side-trips from Turin: Castello Sarriod de La Tour (in St. Pierre), Cave Bossea (in Frabosa Soprana) and Castello di Issogne (in Issogne). Spend the 18th (Mon) exploring nature at Parco Regionale del Mont Avic. There's lots more to do: admire the masterpieces at Fondazione Accorsi Ometto - Museo di Arti Decorative, appreciate the extensive heritage of Aosta Old Town, learn about all things military at Museo Forte Bramafam, and explore the historical opulence of Castello della Manta.
