In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
On the 31st (Sun), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Duomo di Milano, then make a trip to Piazza del Duomo, then steep yourself in history at Il Cenacolo, and finally explore the different monuments and memorials at Monumental Cemetery. Here are some ideas for day two: see La Casa Maledetta, then explore the historical opulence of Castello Sforzesco, then admire the landmark architecture of Casa Ravizza, and finally admire the landmark architecture of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.

Novara is the capital city of the province of Novara in the Piedmont region in northwest Italy, to the west of Milan. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Novara: Safari Park (in Pombia) and Orta San Giulio (San Giulio Island, Lake Orta, &more).
