Crossroads of Europe

Strasbourg is famous for its beautiful historical center, the Grande Île, which was the first city center classified entirely as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Strasbourg is one of the nine largest cities in France with nearly half a million inhabitants in the metropolitan area crossing the river to the German city of Kehl, on the eastern bank of the Rhine River.
Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Cathedrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg and Centre-ville de Strasbourg. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at La Petite France and Fort de Mutzig. Get out of town with these interesting Strasbourg side-trips: Cascade du Nideck (in Oberhaslach), Les 2CV de la Bruche (in Saulxures) and Les Confitures du Climont (in Ranrupt). Situated along the Alsatian Wine Route, Colmar is renowned for its German and French culture, well-preserved old town, numerous architectural landmarks, and its museums.
On the 19th (Fri), explore the world behind art at Musée d'Unterlinden, then don't miss a visit to Old Town, then examine the collection at Musee du Jouet, and finally take a stroll through Little Venice.
