Turin — 14 nights

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Santuario della Consolata and Museum of the Risorgimento. Museum-lovers will get to explore Musei Reali and Museo del Carcere Le Nuove. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Castello di Verres (in Verres), Castello di Issogne (in Issogne) and Castello Reale di Sarre (in Sarre). And it doesn't end there: explore the historical opulence of Castello e Parco di Masino, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis, and make a trip to Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In April, daily temperatures in Turin can reach 59°F, while at night they dip to 47°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Wed) to allow enough time to travel back home.
