The financial hub of Switzerland, Zurich is most often associated with money and banks.

Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Lindt Factory Outlet Kilchberg and Lenin Apartment Zurich. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Zurich: Lucerne (Museum Rosengart Collection, The Nine Towers, &more), Old Town Chur (in Chur) and Basel's Old Town (in Basel). Getting from Zurich to St. Moritz by car takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: take a train; or do a combination of train and bus. In May, St. Moritz is little chillier than Zurich - with highs of 15°C and lows of 5°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 15th (Mon) early enough to go by car to Interlaken.

Nestled between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz in the heart of the Jungfrau region, Interlaken became popular for its proximity to the mountains and lakes of the Bernese Oberland region.

For shopping fun, head to Ambra Minerals or Federal Building (Bundeshaus). Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Alpenwildpark and Monument of the Republic. Venture out of the city with trips to Aare Gorge (in Meiringen), Einstein House (Einsteinhaus) (in Bern) and Giessbachfälle (in Giessbach). You can drive from St. Moritz to Interlaken in 4 hours. Other options are to take a train; or take a bus. Expect a bit warmer weather when traveling from St. Moritz in May: highs in Interlaken hover around 20°C, while lows dip to 8°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 19th (Fri) to allow time to take a train to Zermatt.

Best known as home the Matterhorn mountain, Zermatt serves as a chic ski resort town of the Swiss Alps.

Start off your visit on the 20th (Sat): explore the activities along Riffelsee, then take in panoramic vistas at Sunnegga, and then go for a walk through Hinterdorfstrasse. You can take a train from Interlaken to Zermatt in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 21st (Sun) early enough to drive to Montreux.

Mostly known for its world-renowned jazz festival, Montreux serves as a picturesque lakeside resort town on the Swiss Riviera.

Kick off your visit on the 22nd (Mon): indulge in some personalized pampering at Les Bains de Lavey, then look for gifts at Zara, then appreciate the extensive heritage of Place de la Palud, and finally go for a stroll along the water at Le Port d'Ouchy. Keep things going the next day: indulge your senses at Swiss Riviera Wine Tours, then take in the pleasant sights at Montreux Lakeside, and then examine the collection at Queen Studio Experience.
