Stresa is a town and comune of about 5,000 residents on the shores of Lake Maggiore in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola in the Piedmont region of northern Italy, about 90km northwest of Milan. Venture out of the city with trips to Distilleria Rossi d’Angera (in Angera), Chiesa di Santa Veronica (in Calde) and Lago Maggiore (in Verbania). The adventure continues: take in nature's colorful creations at Il Roseto di Vararo, make a trip to Piazza della Chiesa, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Chiesa dei S.S. Martiri, and step off the mainland to explore Isola Bella.
