Reims is home to Champagne--the most celebrated and celebratory wine in the world.
Start off your visit on the 9th (Tue): learn about winemaking at Champagne Taittinger, admire the striking features of Basilique Saint-Remi, then admire the striking features of Palais du Tau, and finally admire the striking features of Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Reims. Keep things going the next day: admire the landmark architecture of Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Laon, then do a tasting at Veuve Clicquot-Ponsardin, and then do a tasting at Moet et Chandon.

Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain to Reims is an approximately 10.5-hour car ride. You can also fly; or do a combination of bus and train; or drive. Strasbourg is famous for its beautiful historical center, the Grande Île, which was the first city center classified entirely as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Strasbourg is one of the nine largest cities in France with nearly half a million inhabitants in the metropolitan area crossing the river to the German city of Kehl, on the eastern bank of the Rhine River.
Explore Strasbourg's surroundings by going to Sanctuaire du Mont Sainte Odile (in Ottrott), La Montagne des Singes (in Kintzheim) and Eglise Abbatiale Saint Maurice d'Ebersmunster (in Ebersmunster). There's still lots to do: take a stroll through La Petite France, walk around Parc de l'Orangerie, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Cathedrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg, and look for gifts at Alsace Factory.

An industrial town nicknamed "the French Manchester," Mulhouse is famous for its Peugeot factory, esteemed museums, Alsace wine, and cultural riches.
