Turin — 11 nights

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Attractions like Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso and Colline di Torino make great kid-friendly stops. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Lago Blu and River Rafting & Tubing. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Museo Forte Bramafam (in Bardonecchia), Fontanafredda (in Serralunga d'Alba) and Castello Reale di Sarre (in Sarre). And it doesn't end there: trek along Rifugio Vittorio Sella, examine the collection at Museo del Carcere Le Nuove, delve into the distant past at Criptoportico Forense, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini.

If you are flying in from Poland, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In August, plan for daily highs up to 28°C, and evening lows to 20°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Fri) to allow enough time to travel back home.
