Reims is home to Champagne--the most celebrated and celebratory wine in the world.
On the 10th (Wed), learn about winemaking at Paul-Etienne Saint Germain, steep yourself in history at Basilique Saint-Remi, then don't miss a visit to Palais du Tau, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Reims. Here are some ideas for day two: contemplate the waterfront views at Jardin d'Horticulture Pierre Schneiter, then do a tasting at Moet et Chandon, then learn about winemaking at Nomad Wine, and finally examine the collection at Hotel Le Vergeur Museum.

Bilbao, Spain to Reims is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and train; or drive. Traveling from Bilbao in August, things will get little chillier in Reims: highs are around 27°C and lows about 12°C.
