Puglia's capital city, Bari, is a growing metropolis of industry and one of the country's most important commercial ports.
Start off your visit on the 21st (Wed): take in the spiritual surroundings of Basilica San Nicola, then pause for some serene contemplation at Cattedrale Santa Maria Assunta, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Cattedrale Maria SS. Assunta.

Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
Step out of the city life by going to Catacombs of Saint Callixtus and Colle del Gianicolo. Kids will appreciate attractions like Colosseum and Pantheon. There's still lots to do: contemplate the long history of St. Peter's Basilica, pause for some serene contemplation at Church of St. Louis of the French, don't miss a visit to Trevi Fountain, and get to know the fascinating history of Piazza Navona.

Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
