Puglia's capital city, Bari, is a growing metropolis of industry and one of the country's most important commercial ports.
Start off your visit on the 21st (Wed): take in the spiritual surroundings of Basilica San Nicola, then pause for some serene contemplation at Cattedrale Santa Maria Assunta, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Cattedrale Maria SS. Assunta.

The time zone changes from Gulf Standard Time (GST) to Central European Standard Time (CET), which is usually a -3 hour difference. Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
Step out of the city life by going to Catacombs of Saint Callixtus and Colle del Gianicolo. Kids will appreciate attractions like Colosseum and Piazza Navona. There's still lots to do: contemplate the long history of St. Peter's Basilica, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of St. Louis of the French, make a trip to Trevi Fountain, and admire the landmark architecture of Pantheon.
