Turin — 10 nights

City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Basilica di Superga and Palazzo Reale Di Torino will appeal to history buffs. Get some cultural insight at Museo Egizio and Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile. Explore Turin's surroundings by going to Castello di Verres (in Verres), Reggia Di Reale (in Venaria Reale) and Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino). There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, shop like a local with Galleria Sabauda, take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone, and don't miss a visit to Piazza San Carlo.

If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In November, plan for daily highs up to 11°C, and evening lows to 7°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 19th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
