Get outdoors at Trip to Moldova Day Tours and Hanul Lui Hanganu. Explore Cricova's surroundings by going to Curchi Monastery (in Orhei), The Christmas Cathedral (in Tiraspol) and Bender (Tighina Military Cemetery, Transfiguration Cathedral, &more). And it doesn't end there: get engrossed in the history at National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History, pause for some serene contemplation at The Metropolitan Cathedral “Nativity of the Lord”, examine the collection at Old Orhei Archeological Complex, and enjoy the sand and surf at Nistru Beach.

As one of the smallest countries in Europe, Moldova earned its independence in 1991 and remains quite unknown to most of the world. As Moldova is located between Romania and the Ukraine, much of its culture borrows elements, such as language and traditional food, from its two neighbors. Moldova sports a rugged countryside with a mild and sunny climate thanks to the neighboring Black Sea. This region's outdoor activities--biking, hiking, horseback riding, and exploring caves--are its main attractions. While Moldova doesn't attract much tourism, it is one of the last places in Europe where you can get a completely authentic local experience.
