Admire the distinctive stained-glass windows designed by artist Marc Chagall at Fraumünster Church, a major landmark in the city's Old Town. Erected on the remains of a former Benedictine abbey for aristocratic city women, this 13th-century Gothic church features an eye-catching blue spire rising proudly over the city's skyline. In addition to Chagall's windows in the choir stalls and the southern transept, which depict various biblical stories, the church also boasts a 9 m (30 ft) tall stained glass by Swiss painter Augusto Giacometti. • Much too expensive for a church that is so poorly decorated. Think about it, it is not a cathedral, the inner room is pretty empty - as in most protestant churches. Pay only for the Chagall...

  • A serene church with a tranquil aura is what Framunster Church is for me. Even though its famous for its stained glass windows, its the organ that amazed me. A soul soothing song 's been played all the time, when I was in there.
  • Nice place, don't get why they charge 5f. There was not much there, also had construction work in the middle of the place. Was not happy
