Porta Borsari - World Heritage Site

Admire the city's former main entrance and look for the inscription from the period of Emperor Gallienus' reign, when the gate was likely reconstructed. This is one of the old doors that were built aside the roman walls. It is still quite well preserved and gives a sense of history to your tour. Not to be missed.

Thios is a very old roman gate that is worth looking at as you go round the historic center of the city. One side is ornate but the other is quite plain.

A beautiful entrance to the old town of Verona. When we visited was not so crowded so we had time to admire it and take some decent photos of it. Unfortunately, in the street at the front of the structure there were some works taking place and it was a bit loud. The structure is dated back to the 1st century AC.

The road that runs through the gate is under construction(as of August 2022)so pedestrians can only walk past via the covered walkway on the side.
