  • This is located right next door to the Ospedale, the facade of which is really beautiful. There's a canal that runs right alongside so it doesn't get more scenic than this. It's about 5 minutes walk....  more

  • Very impressive structure! We didn't get to fully enjoy it, however, as the gentleman at the ticket booth took offense to me taking a photo, ran from his booth to make me delete it, and then he suddenly decided that he didn't approve of how much of my wife's shoulder was visible despite having granted her admission only minutes before, chasing us out. I'm thoroughly respectful of rules when they are clearly established, but I don't recall seeing any signs banning photography--in comparison, there were multiple signs making abundantly clear they do not accept the Venezia Unica pass. Also, we would have expected to be denied admission *before* they took my money if my wife's clothing was problematic, and would have been very understanding had it come up at that time. Unfortunately the staff is much more interested in your money than your experience. The church still looks amazing from the outside, though.
  • The square is a must. Spectacular and historic! Have a drink i. One of the cafes and admire the local life and structures
