Well known among the Romans of almost two millennia ago, Terme Bagni Nuovi offers a modern spa experience with a long history. With two hotels and two spa centers connected by a vaulted and arched underground tunnel, you’ll find open-air baths and pools, hydrotherapy treatments, saunas (including one in a natural cave), and Turkish baths. There is also a toning course for post-workout recovery, with massaging waterfalls, including one from a hot spring, of various intensities. One of the nicest spas I’ve visited. Amazing scenery and the most surprising thing I found was a wood burning finnish sauna! And it was at about 100-110 degrees which is heaven for people who are always frustrated about the cold in most saunas around the world outside Finland. There’s colder saunas inside the main building. I only tried the spa but would love to come for a stay at the hotel.
Third time we went and I loved it every time! We always stay at the hotel which I can also totally recommend. The thermal bath is beautiful with different areas to bath, relax, sauna and refresh. Robes, towels and shoes are provided, so all you need to bring it your bathing suit. You can eat lunch here and recently also enjoy an apero early in the evening. Especially the lunch is always super yummy! There's also a restaurant that serves breakfast (for hotel guests) and dinner at the hotel.
