Create an itinerary including Armeria Reale
Armeria Reale contains one of the richest collections of weapons in the world, focused on the 16th through the 18th centuries. These objects came from the collection of Charles Emmanuel I. Check out his equestrian armor and the jousting armor of Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy. You’ll find approximately 250 flags here, as well. Stand on the balcony for a bit of history: Charles Albert stood here to declare war on Austria, an event that ultimately lead to the unification of Italy. Consider the joint ticket for the Royal Palace, which allows entrance to here and the Galleria Sabaud. PutArmeria Reale into our Turin online trip maker and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • This is an amazing room, even without all the magnificent collection of swords & lances. It must have taken years to build. Who was the architect or architects; surely, one man cannot create all...

  • Every corner of this gallery is so beautiful. Paintings on walls and ceilings are incredible. And there is a huge collection of armory from different ages.
  • We had a hard time finding the entrance to the Armory since you actually have to pass through the Royal Apartments to get to it. When you visit the palace this will not be an issue but we wanted to visit just the Armory. It is impressive but really hard to photograph due to the light coming through the windows. Nevertheless, we felt the visit was worthwhile.
