Poggio al Bosco, Tavarnelle Val di Pesa

I absolutely LOVED this winery out of all the Tuscany wineries we tried. Our tour started in the vineyard where they told us that they hand select each grape during harvest and are organic. Moving forward to the wine tasting we enjoyed a selection of 4 wines and a sweet wine that were absolutely delicious especially paired with their olive oil. I bought two bottles and all of the olive oils. If you want to see the passion and taste behind Chianti wine, definitely include this winery on your trip.

Definitely worth a visit! Very warm welcome by the family. We felt at home, enjoying some very good wine and (flavoured) olive oils. Extensive explanation by one of of the family members! This is how a wine tasting should be! No pushy commmercial stuff, but convincing your taste by a very good glass of wine, produced organically and with love by a Tuscan family!
