Castello di Sartirana, Sartirana Lomellina

This a cute a small village in Provincia di Lombardia. Know for their sweet and big onion, who tastes more like a fruit instead of an actual onion, it only has 1000-1500 citizens. The village has huge historical potential due to the impressive castle found in the center of the village, important houses dated in the 1700’s, a very large Catholic Church with an impressive architectural style. I was sad to learn that the majority of the citizens are old, there’s only one bar where you can drink something or eat a panini, there are no stores, no jobs and the young population has left. I find this village an opportunity to raise a young family and make it more liveable. It needs to be promoted both turistico and socially. Because is a lovely place full of history and filled with the Italian dolce way!
