Spine-chillingly creepy, Museo della Tortura di San Gimignano features a collection of medieval torture instruments. This attractions focuses on criminology, criminal law, and the medieval inquisition period, while a nearby sister museum concentrates on the death penalty. Exhibits explore the procedures commonly followed to eradicate the devil in men and women suspected of being guilty of heresy or witchcraft. Wax figures bring the pain and suffering to life on a walking tour of over 100 torture instruments from all over Europe and dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries. • Sensation seeking from the darkest part of the human mind. You've not thought enough about the history of Italy, gladiators, of slavery, imperialism and fascism. If you want to prevent people from doing these things again then you have to put that idea first. And start at the entrance. For me and many more people for this reason it's absolutely uninteresting. You made a sensation seeking event out of. In my opinion disgusting. And the fact that even children can enter even dangerous!
  • Very illustrated and easy to understand museum. It is quite scary and we all had a very bad stomach ache afterwards but this was expectable concerning the issue at hand. The topics are diverse and all time periods are considered.
