Guardastelle Vineyard, San Gimignano

I recently had the pleasure of staying here on a family trip with my dad, brother and sister in law. Guardastelle is a beautiful property nestled in the hills of Tuscany. With views for miles of the surrounding countryside, you feel as if you’re in your own private oasis, yet the town of San Gimignano is only a 15 minute walk away! Fausto and Susanna are excellent hosts and go above and beyond to make sure your stay is as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. We were greeted on arrival with a glass of their amazing wine and were truly made to feel like family. While we were there we did the wine tour and tasting, which I would highly recommend, and I can’t say enough about the breakfast that was included in our stay. A truly magnificent spread of fresh fruits, pastries, cold cuts and house made breads and cakes! Eggs and bacon were also made to order. A perfect way to start your day in Tuscany. We stayed here for a week and used it as a base while we traveled to neighboring areas. It’s a great location and Florence and Siena are less than an hours drive away. I would highly recommend Guardastelle to anyone looking for the quintessential Tuscan experience. I can’t wait to go back!

Our stay at Guardastelle was amazing. This family run business is very well managed and we’re super helpful. We came here for our honeymoon and the staff were super nice and friendly. We stayed in their apartment which is a separate housing unit on the property with great A/C units which we gladly used due to the heat wave. We were steps away from the pool (great temperature for hot days) and vineyard. We also did the their wine tour which included a tour of the vineyard and ended with a set lunch with 5 different wine tastings. The food was exceptional and the wines as well. Their olive oil is to die for. The proximity of their place is close to San Gimignano (25 min walk) and close/easy to get to the highways (we rented a car and travelled to nearby places). The views of the country side are incredible and breathtaking. We hope to visit again and will be telling all our friends about it.
