Galleria Borghese is housed in a villa once used for elegant private parties. The art gallery contains a substantial part of a collection of paintings and sculptures amassed by Scipione Borghese, a 17th-century cardinal and art patron. Borghese was an early benefactor of artists Caravaggio and Bernini. You can explore 20 rooms across two floors. The main floor is mostly devoted to the period between the first and the third centuries, featuring mosaics of gladiators and several sculptures. In other sections of the gallery, you can see works by such artists as Canova, Raphael, Correggio, Titian, Rubens, and Veronese. An advance ticket, which you can book on the gallery's website, is required. Our Rome trip itinerary tool makes visiting Galleria Borghese and other Rome attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

There is little to add to what's been said before. The Borghese Gallery is said to be one of the most difficult museums in Europe to see, since only relatively few tickets are sold for each time...

Gem of a museum! The highlights of Bernini are of course at the beginning of the visit, but be sure to continue on as this museum has so many great works. There's a few seats throughout, so make sure to just sit and take it all in. When visiting, it's the first building you see when you get into the park area. We walked right past it as it was quite unassuming. The park area is very nice to walk around in as well!

A wonderful gallery. Not too big, so you don't get bored or are overwhelmed by the art. The Bernini sculptures are something else... there are no words to describe the little details engraved in them. The ceiling's art is also amazing. I recommend you get your ticket before your visit since they are quick to be sold out. If you have the time, enjoy the park around the gallery.
