Castello di Volpaia is a winery located in the medieval village of Volpaia. The estate is over 900 acres (360 ha) divided between vineyards, olive groves, and woods. The winery is organically farmed for producing extra virgin olive oil, vinegar and wine, in particular Chianti Classico. The winery is owned by Carlo and Giovannella Mascheroni Stianti, who are assisted by their son Nicolo' Mascheroni Stianti.PutCastello di Volpaia into our Radda in Chianti route builder and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

Wow, this place is beautiful! It’s small and remote. The whole village (comprised of 33 residents) is dedicated to the Volpaia winery. We stayed in an apartment, which was old so missing the luxuries.... more

3 Weeks in Italy. My wife's favorite stay. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The whole town was so charming and the employees were kind and considerate. The town in the evening was amazing and such a great place to come back to after a day of touring. Great jump off point to anything in the Chianti hills. We enjoyed both our stay here and a tour of the unique winery that is woven into many of the buildings throughout the town without really being noticeable. Happy to be able to pick up that wine in Texas and recall what an awesome experience we had. Can't wait to return.
Stayed at Castello di Volpaia for 4 nights - a family of 5 (3 teenagers). We enjoyed the stay very much! Cool and relaxed atmosphere. Very clean and comfortable apartment. Very kind and professional owner (Federica) and receptionist (Francesca). Breakfast is OK, but didn't really fit my teenagers' taste... The shared pool is 3 min. walk and it is clean and beautifully located within an orchid with an extraordinary view. Wine tour and tasting was interesting and well explained.
