Castello di Suzey reviews
-
Only a few ruins remain in a panoramic position of the castle of Suzey. You can hardly recognize the perimeter of the walls and the foundations of a cylindrical or hexagonal tower. It can be reached in a few minutes of ascent, starting from the village of Ivery, with a path (the first part a bit steeper ..) that climbs into the vegetation. The castle probably dates back to the 11th / 12th century and was owned by the Vallaise nobles, who had their headquarters at the castle of Perloz. In the 13th century, it became the seat of a side branch of the family, notorious for its true knight-marauding behavior.

The castle is now a ruin but continues to have its charm, the view that can be enjoyed is fantastic
