  • Visited this zoo during a trip to Florence. Having been to many zoos over the years, we enjoyed our visit and understand that there have been many improvements to a number of enclosures in recent years, which was clear to see. Only enclosure that we really didn’t like was that for the Barn Owl. A small cage, very dark and in the shade, for which a significant improvement in living conditions is needed.
  • Very nice with kids: not too big and plenty of play area for kids along the way. Tips: take your own food as there are nice shadowed picnic spots.
