  • We were walking along the lake in the Municipality of Pella when we decided to take a look of the sorroundings and we ended up in this Parish Church of Sant'Albino ,it was built in late 1500's, it's nice to discover churches like this 🙂.
  • The church was built at the end of the 1500s probably as a replacement for a Romanesque oratory dating back to the first half of the 11th century, which had to be in conditions incompatible with the dictates of the Council of Trent. In the second half of the 1800s (especially due to the will of the multi-faceted Don Martino Marinzi, pastor for 53 years) the nave was extended to the north and the pronaos was built. In 1936 the new gothic style bell tower was built: the previous one, much lower and modest, was then demolished. Inside we find the painting "The presentation" executed in the 1700s by the Valsesian painter Lorenzo Peracino and some frescoes by the Milanese Giovanni Valtorta dating back to 1877.
