Fragments of ancient mosaics in the crypt of Cattedrale di Parma are evidence of a cult temple that existed before the church was established. The entire church is covered with artwork from the beginning of Italy's artistic golden age. Bertolino de'Grossi, Prospero Clemeti, Girolamo Clemeti, and Luchino Bianchini are just some of the artists who contributed to the architecture.
