  • Wonderful place! It was so nice to do every single step over there, quiete, peaceful and beautiful
  • We hired a driver in Rome and arrived at the cemetery in the early afternoon. It was Columbus day and didn't realize it was closed, as it is every US holiday. The on duty intern greeted us and drove us to the grave of our relative in a golf cart. He was incredibly sincere in his expression of gratitude for the sacrifice of American boys in the war. We asked if would be ok for us to leave flowers...he replied "this place is yours...these men bought and paid for it. Please allow me" and he prepared a holder for the flowers. He then took sand from the golf cart and filled in the letters engraved in the stone for us to get a good picture. The place is immaculate and shows the respect the people there hold for our guys. It is an amazing experience. I highly recommend going there to show your own respects for those who died for us.
