We were staying elsewhere in town and stopped here for lunch. After our meal we wandered around the property and found the grotto. It is a beautiful property with a lot of history. I am so happy...

We were there after the busy season. The castle was quiet and closed. We stayed in one of the apartments next to the castle. It was a great time to go. The crowds were smaller in November. We were able to tour the castle before we left and I must say it is beautiful. We got an up close view without the crowds. The staff was extremely accommodating to all our needs.

Great stay in an Italian. castle about 900-1000 years old. All the rooms are different from each other, and charming. Food is good in the restaurant. Definitely need to be in at least reasonably good shape, as there is no elevators, lots of stairs, and no one to take luggage to your room.
