MEF-Museo Enzo Ferrari
See an exhibition of vintage cars and learn about the life of Enzo Ferrari, designer of the eponymous race and sports cars, at MEF-Museo Enzo Ferrari. You can visit two buildings: the futuristic, yellow-roofed glass gallery housing traveling car exhibitions, and the restored house where Ferrari was born in 1898. You'll see the first racecar Ferrari built, plus many of the later models, such as the F1, Renault, and McLare. The museum is ten minutes from the train station. Fantastic museum with so much information and some lovely cars. Really cool little room with a bunch of different engines set out. Really made you feel the passion Ferrari has for its cars, engineering and history. If you are in the area it's a must see. After being there €17 seems to be a very reasonable price. Absolutely loved it!!

The space was wonderful, a very nice building and there were several cars on display but I wish there had been more. It is very easy to get to from Bologna (30 min train for $4 and a 5 min walk). There is only basic info about the cars (horsepower, top speed, engine config) not any of the story behind them or information about the development. The museum seems to be mostly a tribute to Enzo Ferrari and so I did not learn much but had an enjoyable look at the cars and engines. Spent a little under 2 hrs at the museum, reading every placard and watching the short tribute film but could have been much quicker. Overall, it was nice and interesting but does not hold a candle to the Porsche or BMW museums in Stuttgart.
