Create an itinerary including Villa Necchi Campiglio
One of Milan's museum houses, Villa Necchi Campiglio offers a glimpse into villa architecture in interwar Italy. Designed by Italian architect Piero Portaluppi, this was created as a single-family home with opulent grounds, rather than a palace or mansion. Over the years, it was home to Milanese elite and European royalty. As you wander from one richly decorated room to another, admire paintings and other artwork from the 18th through the 20th centuries. Plan your visit to Villa Necchi Campiglio and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Milan online day trip planner.

  • Absolutely stunning! The grounds, architecture, art and furnishings are spectacular. Our guide was very informative. I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon there. Highly recommend.

  • This was the perfect setting to see good art in an intimate and interesting setting. If only going to see the villa, it's worth it. The details of paneling, flooring, structure are exceptional...

  • I was hesitant about going because frankly the concept didn't seem too interesting to me. But I greatly enjoyed myself, and really liked learning about the history of the villa, largely because of the engaged and super friendly staff who are around it and eager to share its secrets and history with you. Strongly recommend. The restaurant next door is also fantastic for lunch!
  • Simply fabulous... if you are an architecture or design aficionado, this is a must... great service and during my visit on a Sunday morning there were lots of local volunteers providing guides or explanations in English as well.
