Redecorated in 19th century with furnishings that coordinate with the paintings, Museo Poldi Pezzoli is the epitome of Italian taste. The private collection showcases artwork from Northern Italian and Flemish masters. Glassworks, ceramics, jewelry, and weaponry also grace the well-appointed rooms. Thirty years before the rooms were redesigned, the palace was rebuilt in the Neoclassical style with an interior English garden. House museums often suffer from mediocre quality collections. The Poldi Pezzoli avoids that issue - a great, eclectic collection of paintings, furniture, clocks, lace, glass, jewelry, navigational instruments, arms & armor - you name it. Well worth the price of admission.

A "tiny" yet very organized museum showcasing Poldi Pozzoli's incredible collection. From bronze age artifacts, to renaissance paintings, everything is displayed in the most magnificent way, yet the rooms are cozy and give a home-like feeling. The best room in my opinion is the armory, at the beginning, which has a very entertaining collection of renaissance weapons and armor sets. Overall I visited it in 2 and a half hours, but i could have spent there the whole day. Recommend it 100%.
