Melendugno
Melendugno is a town and comune in the Italian province of Lecce in the Apulia region of south-east Italy.It is known for its marine, which are bathing beaches on the Adriatic Sea: Roca Vecchia, San Foca, Torre dell'Orso and Torre Sant'Andrea, which were awarded the Blue Flag beach prize for the water quality. Melendugno also includes the frazione of Borgagne.Torre Sant'Andrea di Missipezza LighthouseTorre Sant'Andrea di Missipezza Lighthouse is an active lighthouse in the frazione of Torre Sant'Andrea in the municipality of Melendugno. The lantern is placed atop a massive masonry old defence tower with the seaward side painted with white and black checkerboard pattern, the other three sides are painted in white. The lighthouse was activated in 1932 and is 16m high; the lantern is positioned at an height of 24m above sea level. The lighthouse is fully automated and operated by the Lighthouses Service of Marina Militare, identified by the Country code number 3688 E.F.
