Museo Francesco Gonzaga, Mantua

A small collection with some wonderful pieces; well worth a visit.

I learned about the "Sinestesya" exhibition, which they indicated as free and instead it proved to be a "mirror for the larks". When I arrived at the reception they explained to me that to reach the small room where the aforementioned exhibition was located, I would have to go through the permanent exhibition. Moral, I had to pay 10 euros! The museum exhibits beautiful works from the Renaissance, Roman and medieval times. There are only three "tondi" of Mantegna and Correggio. The location is very beautiful, with the classic four-sided portico found in the convents. Beautiful Sinestesya exhibition which, although enclosed in a 10 x 4 meter room, exhibited beautiful works. The problem is that I drove 140 km to see the aforementioned exhibition and, if I had known before the catch, I probably wouldn't have ventured. Therefore, only 3 stars, causes the lack of clarity in the advertising of the event.
