  • Camminamenti di ronda a Loreto, 60025, Loreto, AN, Province of Ancona, Italy. . The basilica of Loreto is fortified in the upper part with a walkway and stone corbels, which support them also with a decorative function; on behalf of Cardinal Girolamo Basso della Rovere the construction was started by Giuliano da Maiano and subsequently modified and completed by Baccio Pontelli in a typically Renaissance style.
  • The visit to the basilica is also worth a visit to the patrol walkways. A wonderful view over the whole surrounding area. The visit is guided with brief descriptions of the places visited. The ascent is via a narrow spiral staircase, 120 steps which downhill are more difficult due to the small size. For the ticket it is necessary to go up to the ticket office of the museum, then another 30 or 40 steps.
