Ride the elevator to the top of the tower at Spianata Castelletto. You also can climb the 80 m (262 ft) on foot. Admire the old city port and the area's many gardens, as well as the antique architecture of the elevator facility. • We kind of found this place accidentally. There are two "lifts" which go here, but it is much more fun strolling through the narrow lanes/steps of Genoa "Old Town" to get up here. Around the back...

  • Great location to get above the city and a nice view of the port and the rest of the city. There is an elevator to take you up or you can walk if you want a little exercise for all the pasta and pizza you have been eating! When you get up there are places for a coffee, a drink, of course gelato and other dolce items.
  • Definitely the best way to see the city. I’d recommend going there also at night, the view is incredible. Getting there is easy and there’s an elevator for a small fee that will take you to the top. Once there take your time to enjoy the view and listen to the city sounds and vibe. This connects to the rest of the city, so it is not just a view point.
