The photo shows what the Sabbione glacier was like, August 1966, then very advanced on the lake. In that month we could witness the detachment of many small icebergs followed by the typical roar of the phenomenon. Too bad that my children, grandchildren and all the people today don't have the slightest idea of how great and wonderful the glacier was then.
