Il Piccolo Hammam, Florence

We booked the Couple Hammam Package at this place via Groupon. This is what we liked and didn't like: Liked: - nice environment (even though the place is much smaller than expected) - attentive staff )everyone was very kind) - we loved the bathing ritual (it's just wonderful for someone to bathe and scrub you lol and it was done with a lot of care) Didn't like: - the four handed massage: not only was one person at a time, which meant that the other one is just lying there waiting, but was also so very gentle, I am not sure we can even call it a "massage" (both me and my husband are massage lovers and had had hundreds of massages all over the world so we might just be a little picky) - the music during the massage was basically rock/ old hits radio-type which was not matching the environment at all (one can easily find some relaxing music nowadays on Spotify or elsewhere) - the package was supposed to be 2hrs, however it was done after 1.30hrs which is really NOT ok (if the treatment was the full 2hrs booked/promised I might have not given this place 3 stars, but I find this completely unacceptable...). Either do the full 2hrs or simply advertise 1.30hrs. - tiny detail: might be nice to have brown sugar with the ending tea, white sugar is just not fitting a health-promoting environment of wellness. All this said, we unfortunately left quite disappointed and wouldn't come back again, even though we were very much looking forward to an afternoon of pampering together (which did start quite well with the bathing ritual and then went down hill). I hope this review helps the space to improve their offering or at least set the right expectations about duration etc. Thank you!

Very clean, nice and welcoming environment. I have always found the girls very professional, as well as kind and helpful. I go there often for the massages which are the top! A real cure-all for my back and neck pain! The prices seem absolutely affordable and honest to me!
