The Eremo dei Frati Bianchi, or Hermitage of the White Friars, dates back a 1000 years, and is an important landmark of the cultural, artistic and spiritual history of central Italy and Europe. It was founded by the Camaldolesi monks, who lived a life of meditation in 19 rock caves.

After years of total neglect, major restauration has combined the original architecture with modern amenities, to be enjoyed in a wide variety of activities and events. Facilities include accommodation, meeting and break out rooms, courtyard, meadows and 6 hectares of protected woodland with paths for walking, churches, caves....
