Chiesa Nostra Donna di Loreto, Costigliole d'Asti

Building built around the 19th century on the site of a pre-existing church, in Costigliole. Externally it is presented in Baroque forms partially modified in neoclassical style, with protruding frames, pilasters and pediment, with three doors that reveal the internal organisation. Internally, the plan is divided into three naves, the central one being wider, surmounted by a frescoed barrel vault, while the lateral bays end at the top with low domes. The altar, built to a design by Juvarra (great architect of the Savoy court), laterally houses the Asinari coat of arms. Numerous paintings and frescoes, created by famous painters such as Peretti, Pittatore and Morgari, decorate the walls; among these stands out a reproduction of Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper, executed on the perimeter wall of the right aisle.

Idong's church is the only one. It was quiet and beautiful. Hand sanitizer was good too.
