  • Natural thermal water Source with great beneficial properties
  • At 1340 meters above sea level, thermal water at 38 °? It is possible at the Fonte Pliniana known since ancient times as a drink for hydropic treatment. The use of the source was also reserved for the bathing of sheep and horses. This source, together with the Roman baths and the small church of San Martino, testifies to the ancient historic layout of the Bagni Vecchi dating back to the early Middle Ages. The springs that spring at the foot of these Alps are nine, and their waters have an average temperature range that varies between 38 and 41 degrees, with maximum peaks in winter-spring and minimum during summer. The cave is artificial and was built in 1908 by the architect Ramponi, replacing an ancient canopy. Known, celebrated and used as a drink since ancient times, the water of this source flows from a crack in the Dolomite rock face of the Reit. Under the protruding crag of the cave a tank was placed for the collection of water which, by means of a special pipeline, was first brought to the Castellanella plant and, subsequently, to the new one built in Molina under the Bagni Nuovi, on the road to Livigno. . The Pliniana spring has a flow rate of about 100 liters per minute with a constant temperature of about 38 ° C. A nice walk through the woods starting from the Bormio new baths hotel in Molina, along the way you will also find an 80-meter waterfall ... always of thermal water! #mountainachepassione #fontepliniana # bormio2021 #travelphotography #bagnidibormio #valtellina #passeggiata #italiantravel #photomountain #grotta #acquatermale #trekking #wellnessmountain #bormio #valdidentro #valdidentroturismo #bagnibormio #bagnidibormio #italfytersalksalksalks #history
